See what others are saying

Throughout my time writing with the Champion and other local publications, readers have taken the time to offer feedback about the articles they most enjoyed. Here are a few examples of email encouragements and praise I have received from readers.

'Blue Sky Ministries Coverage'/ the Proclaimer

Sara,

You have been a blessing to work with and I know God has plans for you. I wanted to let you know that the article did come out in the proclaimer and I have a copy of it here with me at school if you want to have a copy of it. It was a great piece thank you so much for it!

'Coca-Cola depicts multilingual America'/ the Champion

Hey Sara,

I just read your piece in Champion. I am very grateful that you delivered your message with such grace but assertiveness. It was discouraging to see so many people lash out ignorantly towards Coca-Cola after that commercial. I thought the commercial was great. Anyways, great article! Keep doing what you're doing sis!

'Learning to love our neighbors in Lynchburg'/ The Champion

Sara,

I just wanted to drop you a short note to let you know how much I enjoyed reading your article in the Liberty paper from Sept. 24th. As a resident of the area for the past 12 years I have seen both sides of your issue: those that take their faith off campus and those that don't. Very powerful and thought provoking article that I hope your peers and LU personnel take seriously. Look forward to reading more that you write.

'From sorrow to success'/ the Champion

Dear Sara,

Thank you for your picture article about Mark Simpson, a true overcomer. The first time I saw him, he was getting in and out of a car over by Dormitory 5, at night. I saw him as a remarkable individual and said to the young lady driver “Tell that guy that when we get there I’m going to run him a race!” Mark will be missed when he graduates, but he’ll not be forgotten. My old body is about worn out, and I struggle to go a short distance with a cane or a staff. When I was young, I travelled from before dawn to after dark afoot over mountains, a great memory. Do not despise your youth was not written ambiguously ! May we all be found useful while we are here. Keep up your upbeat reporting. We pray daily that the students of LU will take home and put to use much good.

                            In Our Blessed Hope,
